An elegant gift, these cufflinks display the Henry Clay Frick monogram, today seen above the main entrance to the museum. The decorative and classically inspired monogram of Henry Clay Frick (1849–1919) was created by the architectural firm of John Russell Pope. It was added over the door of the main entrance to the mansion when it was transformed into a museum. The Frick Collection opened to the public in December 1935.
