Boucher Four Seasons Notecard Set

This elegantly packaged set of notecards has as its subject François Boucher’s The Four Seasons series, which he painted in 1755 for Madame de Pompadour, mistress of Louis XV, King of France. Unlike earlier representations of the seasons, which depict labors performed at various times of the year, Boucher’s series depicts delightful amorous encounters in exuberant colors.
