While its historic buildings undergo renovation, The Frick Collection is housed in a Marcel Breuer–designed building five blocks to the north. A mid-century architectural masterpiece, Breuer’s creation of stone and concrete is the inspiration for the modern design of a range of products, including this unique mug/thermos.

This product seamlessly blends old and new, combining a modernist aesthetic with the monogram for Henry Clay Frick that was designed for the main entrance to The Frick Collection during the last comprehensive renovation of the house, when it was transformed into a museum by John Russell Pope between 1932 and 1935. The decorative, classically inspired monogram is one of many painstaking details incorporated into the fabric of the Gilded Age mansion.
